From our Southern California roots in 1972 to the present, we have remained true to our BMX and mountain bike legacy. GT blends performance and serious fun to guarantee a good time wherever our bikes are ridden. Because having fun is important business. GT Bike Bike

The BMX frames at the time were simply not strong enough. At least not according to Gary Turner. So, in 1972, he created the first GT frame for his son to ride on the BMX SoCal race circuit, using skills he learned while welding drag racing cars. The frame was a hit.

Heritage-inspired and contemporary twists, GT bike bike

Popular with fans. Following the resurrection of the BMX freestyle lineup, we formed a new GT Factory Racing team committed to success and pleasure, both on and off the bike. The crew embraced the goal of bringing GT’s passion for the sport into every household across the world, and they were instrumental in relaunching a new LTS line of full suspension mountain bikes. Martin Maes won successive Enduro World Series and Downhill World Cup races on the Force and, later, the Fury. A world first for the industry and a watershed moment for Maes.
